DEAR DIANA: I am an artist and have been sober from alcohol and drug addiction for over 10 years. I am mostly satisfied and happy with my life, but I struggle to do what is good for my finances and my diet. I know it would be good for me to avoid debt and sugar, but I do it anyway. I am very active and have brought my blood sugar levels down to a good range.
